Planaria sp Excretion System
This animal excretes metabolic remnants in the form of
nitrogen through its body surface. The osmoregulation system is a protonefridia
consisting of fire cells spread over the edges of the body. These fire cells
are in the form of hollow pipes that are equipped with a beam of cilia. If the
cilia vibrate, then the fluid in the body is pushed into the channel that is
associated with the pores of the body surface.
